Monotony At Home
Our work habits have changed fundamentally. The goal of people is not to have a work-life balance. They want to be able to choose where, when, and how they work. They want to have the ability to set their own hours, do meaningful work, and be in a place that meets their needs. No longer is there a “one-size-fits all” nine-to-five. A Signature Workspace member shares their story about how they are reimagining and thriving in the new world of renting a workspace.
Brian Madunezim had begun to combine his work from home days. His days were the same, no matter what he was doing. He would wake up and put on a T-shirt, usually one with the logo of his favorite team, before heading to the work area he had set up in his bedroom. From there, he would log on to his computer to begin his day.
Florida software engineer Madunezim tried to make his home workspace as comfortable and pleasant as possible. His workstation was strategically placed so that he could enjoy the beautiful view from his apartment’s balcony. He purchased a standing desk, a comfortable seat, an ergonomic mouse and a ring light for Zoom meetings. The perfect temperature was achieved and the room was filled with soft music.
Despite all the conveniences of working remotely, Madunezim began to feel the weight of months of being in quarantine. Madunezim worked in Tampa, FL as an engineer at a large healthcare firm. He had approximately 500 employees each day. As the pandemic progressed, it became increasingly difficult to adjust to his new environment of working alone in his bedroom.
Madunezim said that she felt as though the walls were closing in on her. “I wanted to get out of that.”
Madunezim was tired of working at home for four months and felt trapped by Groundhog Day. But where was he?
Signature Workspace Is Found

The Tampa office was still closed for employees. Madunezim began to research renting a workspace that was safe, accessible, and convenient. It would offer the same level of comfort that he had while working remotely.
At first, he didn’t have much success. A friend invited him to a meeting at Signature Workspace in Tampa. Madunezim suddenly saw the solution to his pandemic blues.
He says he was blown away by the Signature Workspace space his first time. It feels very cozy. Amazing customer service. The rooms were well-equipped for office work.
Madunezim is drawn back by the Signature Workspace spaces’ accessibility and comfort. Madunezim enjoys every opportunity to attend the Signature Workspace meeting spaces.
These experiences bring joy to your work day and help you feel more positive. “Little things like this really bring joy into the workplace and help ease the workload many people have.” He says these events allow him to meet new people and recharge his social batteries, which are both vital to his professional success.
Madunezim, in fact, is just beginning to start a company. He plans to become a full-time Signature Workspace member instead of just renting a workspace for the short term, with a private office for rent. He hopes to have his company and all future employees based out of Signature Workspace.
Madunezim states that “Signature Workspace makes it possible to work smarter.” It gives you a new perspective on how to work. You don’t always have to work hard and have no fun. It doesn’t mean you have to be exhausted. It’s possible to be productive and still have fun while also getting to know other people and building relationships.
